digip : sailing the high seas of the internet

Well, the latest update to Opera is out. Some eye candy that really doesn’t add anything for me because I always revert to the 9 classic skin(sleakest and cleanest on the eyes in my opinion). Other than that, I don’t see any imporvments. In fact, and as much as I love Opera, its my favorotie browser, 10 is slower than 9.64. I say that becuse I am running the two side by side, and pages take longer to load in 10, but also, speed tests done at http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ and http://www.speedtest.net/ show Opera 9.64 about 2Mbit faster in download and uploads. Maybe I have really tweaked my Opera 9.64 over the year or so I have had the last version (type “opera:config” from the address bar for those who want to give it a shot) but even with those settings applied to 10, its still a bit slower. Why? I have no idea, but I am going to work on some OS tweaking as well. I think I am forgetting something, like DEP or ZoneAlarm tweaks that I set for faster access. Will update later if I find any better results and get 10 working as fast as they claim it to be…for now, 9.64 is my fav.
