Neglect can sometimes be a good thing

I’ve been so busy lately, I haven’t had time to post anything. Neglecting my blog in this scenario is a good thing I guess, because it means I’m doing something productive, even if I’m not employed.

To update, I am still out of work, unemployment finally kicked in and received my first check. Trying to get money for school, but my county is so backed up, I cant even get a meeting with a councelor until March 26th. By then I will have paid out of pocket for my schools, most of the classes I want to take will already be under my belt and the state money will come too little, too late.

To help offset that, I cashed in my 401k. Probably not the best move, but we needed the money, and if I am going to get my school out of the way, I see no other way to pay for it. Sucks, because we are really strapped for cash.

On a positive note, been working on a few web sites for people and making some side money. Every little bit helps at this point, and I couldn’t be more thankful to those who have called upon me for work. Thanks to Muts, l0gan, rel1k, Lev Gorn and anyone else whom I am forgetting, but they keep me busy in my spare time and help to pay the bills. Speaking of which, I think I need to check my basket, probably something getting paid late this month…

If you want, check out some of my work:

http://backrack-linux.org/ should be live sometime today hopefully. The BT4 Final distro will also be available with instructions on how to install, update, etc from its new home at backrack-linux.org.

http://levgornphotography.com for your family picture needs! Lev is a great photographer, and also does headshots for Actors, Models, etc as well as Fine Art displays for your home or office.

http://www.thepentest.com/ is getting a new facelift, ala the DigiP treatment. Dave “rel1k” is in the process of updating all the content. He is the man behind Fast Track and SET (The Social Engineers Toolkit) that you may have seen in Back|Track.

If you need help with your current web site, or building a new one, give me a shout!
